...Jollin and Hode is a story about a man who wants to separate the good from the bad, so he makes a medicine to achieve that. It goes about as well as you expect it to--he retains his goodness and pure of heart, and he creates a second personality for himself--that's Hode. He doesn't care about anything or anyone except himself, and he starts to go on killing sprees just because he can. It's a story of monster and men, of good versus evil, of... losing control of yourself.

[ He glances at White, as if he's about to say something else, but he turns his gaze back to his work. ]

I won't spoil much else for you, but it's almost the exact same as Jekyll and Hyde from my world. Except with, well, emotion stuff. I think it's to warn people against the dangers of attempting to isolate just the good or just the bad and then getting rid of the other.
