He doesn't care about anything or anyone except himself, and he starts to go on killing sprees just because he can. It's a story of monster and men, of good versus evil, of... losing control of yourself.

I won't spoil much else for you, but it's almost the exact same as Jekyll and Hyde from my world. Except with, well, emotion stuff. I think it's to warn people against the dangers of attempting to isolate just the good or just the bad and then getting rid of the other.
