It won't be heckling. I'll find a perfectly nice person for you to have a nice lunch, dinner, whatever with. Someone courteous and sensitive to other's moods, but totally charming. They'll be perfect for a wuss like you.
[And she's just... push against him. White does feel a little bad about heckling her brother into this, basically, but he's not gonna get anywhere unless she pushes him into it first. That's just how it is. And even then it might not change! But at least she'll have tried.]
... And then if you don't have fun or something, if you're really not interested at all, I'll drop it, okay? I'll just get you friend dates or something. I just want you to be able to have someone to fall back on if... you know.
[If she ends up disappearing for whatever reason. She's not sure if he'd want to lean on Leo (not with how he seems to think that the thing in him might've had something to do with it) but if he's able to make a friend of his own, someone that wants to understand him or enjoys his company enough to ask questions... That'd put to rest a few of her worries.]
Don't even think it. [ He sets his book aside in favor of completely wrapping his arms around her, squeezing tight. ] You won't leave. Not without me. You won't.
[ She can't. (She can't.) She wouldn't. (She wouldn't dare.) Not after everything he's done to keep her in his sight! (Not after everything he's done to make sure things go as they should.) ]
...don't think about it, okay? If one of us leaves, the other will, too. That's how it is.
[This. This is why he needs someone else. Because she doesn't want to leave in the first place, but if it ends up happening then it ends up happening. White bites her lip, wondering if she should bring up the case of And if you don't follow me?, but the sentiment's strong enough to push through anyway.
And to make the air heavy around them. It's almost like she can't breathe, but she'll hug her brother back and hum.]
Okay. I won't think about it. Instead, I'll think about how to word the advertisement I'm going to put up about you regarding a blind date. Do you prefer "nerd" or "geek"?
It's common knowledge! Strut your stuff sometime and I'm sure you'll have the locals falling for you. Maybe you'll even see a task someday asking for love advice, from someone who's head over heels for a handsome, smart young man with an equally beautiful twin sister.
Oh, you're right, they'll have to put out a request to help them land a total nerd who spends all his time either at the library, hanging out with his sister, or reading books until it gets dark out.
I have, actually. A few. [ Mmmmnn.... ] Down at a bakery, there was some trouble with their goods going missing during the day. Someone on the staff sticky fingers would be the obvious culprit, but... well, how do I say this?
[ Because it never gets less ridiculous to think about-- ]
It was a family of mice, just like in a Disney movie. They were stealing food and taking it back to their mousehole to eat and store. According to the owner, there'd never been mice before, so they must've just moved in... and the weather's been getting colder, so that's probably why they decided to take refuge there. Anyway, the mice got the boot [ which is the kind way of saying "exterminated" here ] and I get a free tart if I buy a drink when I visit for helping them out. It's not a bad deal.
[ but look see, he's doing stuff!!! granted he just kind of. stumbled upon the mouse problem. he wasn't there to solve anything, he was there to have a quick coffee run and maybe snack on some nice treats... ]
I guess it'd be up to you to find them all, huh, Mr. League. [-- Oh.] Hey, since you're experienced with that kind of peace keeping stuff, why don't you be an ambassador or something like that?
... It was such a simple view of their jobs back then.]
That's too bad. Your cool-head would've won you points.
[Probably. And outside of that, he definitely wouldn't use his powers... because he's been so good about not showing them off and drawing attention to himself so far.]
Yeah, I guess so. I've gotta figure out what I stand for after all.
[Though she's probably not gonna figure that out for. A bit. Maybe put it off until something just strikes her right. White'll wriggle away, hands on her hips when she frees herself.]
Make sure you be prepared for your future blind date and my campaign! I'll be sore if I don't win, you know! And so will you!

Uh huh. [ SOOO COMMITTED HERE /sarcasm. ] Just drop it, White. I'm not interesting in dating anyone.
...but if you manage to get me a date with someone, I'll go. It'd be rude to stand them up, especially if you heckle them into it.
